Basement finishing for New Jersey homes.
Our basement finishing NJ crew turns the storage-and-laundry level into a family room, office, gym or guest space. We deal with moisture first, then frame, wire, drywall and finish it like the rest of your house.

Basement finishing NJ projects start by keeping it dry.
A finished basement is the cheapest square footage you'll ever add, because the foundation and roof are already paid for. But New Jersey basements have one big enemy, and it's water. Finish over a damp wall or a slab that takes on water in a storm and you're tearing out drywall and carpet a year later.
So we look at moisture before anything else. If there are signs of water, we address the cause first, whether that's a crack, a grading issue, or a drainage problem that needs a French drain or waterproofing. Our restoration side does that work every week, so we know what to look for.
Once the space is dry, we turn it into real living space: framed walls, insulation, electrical and lighting, drywall, flooring that handles a below-grade room, trim and paint. Office, playroom, gym, guest suite or all of the above, we lay it out around how you'll use it.
Two things worth reading before you finish a basement: EPA radon guidance on testing below-grade living space, and ENERGY STAR advice on sealing and insulating, which applies to rim joists and foundation walls during basement finishing. NJ basements vary, so we look at yours first.

Basement finishing questions.
My basement gets damp. Can it still be finished?
Usually, once the cause is fixed. We find where the water is coming from and address it, sometimes with waterproofing or a French drain, before finishing so your new room stays dry.
What flooring works best in a basement?
Luxury vinyl plank and tile handle below-grade conditions well. Carpet can work in a dry basement with the right pad. We'll recommend options based on your space.
Can you add a bathroom in my basement?
Often, depending on where your plumbing is and how drains can be run. We'll look at it during the walkthrough and tell you what's possible.
Do you offer free basement finishing estimates in Warren, NJ?
Yes. We'll look at the space, check for moisture and give you a free written estimate.
